Zakat Asnaf
The scope of the distribution of Zakat Selangor Zakat Board (MAIS) based on a set by the Shari’ah. Asnaf is as described in Surah At-Touba verse 60:
“Alms shall be only for the poor, the needy, charity managers, whose hearts are persuaded him to (it) ordained by those who owe to Allah and those who was on the way, as a mandatory resolution of Allah, and Allah is Knowing, Wise."
There are 8 zakat recipients (Asnaf) are:

There are two additional types of charity:

Ma’adin -- It is all the minerals derived from the earth either frozen or liquid on land or at sea.
Kunuz -- It is the property stored in the earth (the treasure).
Extractive -- There is wealth stored in the earth, and there are signs that it was saved before the advent of Islam.(Majority of scholars say all kinds of ignorance savings)

- Fakir -- Fakir is the Muslims who have no real end product (job) of the lawful and entitled him to meet himself and his dependents, including food, clothing, shelter and other necessities.
- Miskin -- Poor is the Muslims who own property and the work (occupation) of the lawful and proper to him but still not enough to cover the needs of himself and his dependents.
- Amil -- The person appointed / commissioned by the Sultan or Naibnya for maintenance things charity.
- Muallaf -- People who are new converts to Islam that “those who tamed his heart” to be given assistance so that they love the sound of Islam.
- Riqab -- That servant who wish to mukatab reconciled.
- Gharimin -- Muslims who are in debt to meet basic needs for personal problems or family obligations or the debtor to solve society’s problems and needs:
- The debtor is not able to explain the debt.
- Debt should be in matters that are required to obey Islamic law.
- Debt has reached a period to be explained.
- Fisabilillah - Fisabililah is every act / thing that led to the needs and problems to spread Islam.
- Ibnu Sabil - Muslims who run out of spending in the course or who want to begin a journey when it had no expenses, provided that:
- He traveled from his home.
- Adventure is required by Islam.
Distribution Objectives
- Implement the distribution of zakat, as Allah SWT
- Zakat distribution channel with more efficient
- Creating a balanced society in economic, spiritual, secular and religious
- Reduce poverty in the state
- Improve Islam in Selangor
- Give confidence to taxpayers, taxpayers and community charity
- Diversifying the zakat distribution program needs during asnaf
Other Types of Zakat charity
There are two additional types of charity:
- Zakat Fitr -- Zakah Fitr is the charity of self difardhukan on every Muslim male and female individuals who are able to set conditions.
- Zakat on types of property as follows:
- Zakat Earnings
- Business Zakat
- Zakat on Livestock Animals
- Zakat Agriculture
- Zakat Fund
- Zakat on Gold and Silver
- Zakat Stock
- Zakat Ma’adin, Kunuz and Extractive *
